How do I get to Young:
Traveling to Young will be a scenic adventure. There are two routes into Young traveling through the Tonto National Forest:
Young Road/FR 512: This is the primary access into Young which is accessed off of AZ Highway 260. There is a sign on Hwy 260 indicating the Young Rd. Travel on the Young road for 23 miles. 13 miles is unpaved dirt road.
South Road/Hwy 288: This is the “Desert to Tall Pines” scenic highway. Highway 288 is located off of Highway 188 south of Roosevelt Lake. This road also has sections that are unpaved and you may find this route to be challenging to drive if you are not used to curves and narrow roadways.
During inclement weather and the winter season a four wheel drive vehicle may be needed. Please check local and regional weather alerts and road updates prior to traveling during these times.
What to Expect:
Each tent is fashioned in a theme and decorated beautifully. They are equipped with beds, luxurious linens, blankets and towels, a heater/air conditioning unit and an outdoor seating area. We do have an onsite bathroom and shower facility just a short walk from each tent. You should bring your own toiletries, medications, sunscreen, bug repellant and layered clothing. Daytime weather can be very warm in the Summer but evenings cool off dramatically. There is limited shopping in town for things you may want to have on hand. Children: The Classy Glamping glamp-site is located on an active working farm and the wine tasting room is located on-site. This is not always the best environments for families with young children. We do not recommend children under four years old as guests. While there are many close-by activities for families to enjoy, many of the guest visiting come to enjoy a peaceful experience and spend time with other adults. Those traveling with well behaved children, should contact Bruzzi Vineyard about food service and llama visits in advance to ensure some accommodations can be made.
Pets: We love our animals and pets. Bruzzi Vineyard is a working farm that often operates heavy farm equipment and is the home rescue farm animals. The llamas and sheep love visitors but we request other family pets remain at home. Young also borders the Tonto National Forest, we will occasionally have wild animals visit the vineyard such as deer, elk, bears and mountain lions. While this is rare we want to keep you and your pets safe.
Llama Visits: Llama visits must be scheduled in advance. A llama visit includes a walk with Abagail, the opportunity to feed her, photo opportunity and petting time. Please contact Bruzzi Vineyard to schedule your llama visit: 928-462-3314 or
Wine Tastings: Bruzzi Vineyard offers a wine tasting for our guests on their patio. Wine tasting times need to be scheduled in advance. Please contact the tasting room directly at 928-462-3314 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Learn more about Bruzzi Vineyard
Food & Services:
Young is a remote and rural community. Services and some amenities are not available as easily. Our preferred food service is Bruzzi Vineyard. They can provide a set course dinner and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday (Dinner is also available on Fridays). They also have gourmet sandwiches, meat and cheese boards and of course wine tastings. You can find the menus available on our website: CLICK HERE (Services at Bruzzi Vineyard are available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday) . We recommend you contact Bruzzi Vineyard directly to arrange your meal service, while they do their best to accommodate the needs of our guests, our rural location does create some limitation for special diets and requests without advance notice.
Guests of Classy Glamping, may want to bring your own drinking water and coffee services, especially for stays during the week when Bruzzi Vineyard is not open.
The Cherry Creek Store and Buddy’s Gas Station have very basic grocery and over the counter medications, snacks and other supplies. Payson has the largest full service grocery stores and is approximately 1.5 hours away. Learn more about the Services in Young: CLICK HERE
